Dynamic Evolution: A Unique Residential Apartment Design

Creating Boundless Spaces Without Walls

Dynamic Evolution is a residential apartment design that breaks away from traditional open designs, constructing a free-living environment without walls. Designed by Yung-Chun Lin, this innovative project showcases the flexibility and charisma of a truly unique living space.

Distinct from regular open designs, Dynamic Evolution expands the concept by setting the dining room and kitchen on the side, creating open spaces while delineating boundaries. The study room, located behind a wide marble TV wall in the living room, can easily transform into a guest room, effectively keeping it clean from kitchen smoke. This flexible house design is a testament to the designer's ingenuity.

The wood boards elegantly decorate the entryway and living room, while a tall display cabinet separates the entryway from the dining room and kitchen. The contrasting materials, such as the cold feel of the marble TV wall and the warm feel of the wood furniture, create a visually striking contrast, manifesting double visions throughout the space.

The open dining room and kitchen on the left of the study room feature an elegant black kitchen counter, ensuring a smooth traffic flow and distinguishing the role of each space. Delicate changes in ceiling heights cleverly conceal the beam that extends from the entryway to other areas. A wood ceiling in the dining room subtly defines the boundary between the dining room and kitchen, while polished floors and a glittering stone dining table create a clear and bright ambiance.

The master bedroom is adorned with elegant brown colors and features a dressing room and table. The second bedroom is decorated with bold colors, adding vibrancy to the space. This design takes into consideration both functionality and variety, setting it apart from other residential interior designs.

Completed in November 2017, Dynamic Evolution is a testament to Yung-Chun Lin's creativity and technical prowess. This design has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This award acknowledges designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
